Our beautiful girl is 18 months old. Here are her stats from her 18 month appointment:
Height: 2.675 (14%)
Weight: 21 lbs, 3 oz (27%)
Head Circumference: 17.64 (13%)
She is officially in the "toddlers" class at Boulevard. She is (by far) the tiniest one in the class, but she keeps up with them without a problem, both physically and mentally. She insists on WALKING into her class, by herself, with her "wawa" cup in hand. She kicks until I put her down on the ground so she can walk in instead of being carried in. Her teachers describe her as being, "so funny" and, "the best fake crier we have ever seen."
You would never know she is such a "little bit" by watching her eat. She is SUCH a good eater. She likes almost everything she tries (she literally chewed on iceberg lettuce at a hibachi restaurant), and she cleans her plate at almost every meal. Her absolute favorite food is bananas. Do not even try to get away with eating one (or buying one at a grocery store in front of her) without feeding it to her... she will scream, "NANA!!" until she gets some. She is a little more picky about her drinks. She only drinks water, but she LOVES her "Wawa." Again, don't let her spot her water cup without letting her have it, or you will hear about it. I am loving having a good eater because it makes meal time so easy!
Actually, everything is so easy with Georgia. I don't know if it's because she is the second child and always has big brother to entertain her, if it's because she is a girl, or if it's a personality thing. But regardless, she is just so easy. She is SO happy and funny. I don't know if it's possible for me and Patrick to have an easy going child since we are both pretty high strung, but Georgia is going to be as close as we could ever get to having an easy going. I pray that she keeps her fun-loving personality.
She does try to get into more (especially when she tries to keep up with what Mr.Banks is doing), and she doesn't listen to "no" quite as good as her big brother did at her age. With that "happy go lucky" personality, she doesn't quite have the fear in her that Banks always has, as far as wanting to please us and do exactly as we say. I have a feeling that's going to be a struggle at some point, but we'll figure it out! We're still just enjoying watching her become her own little precious person right now.
As far as talking goes, she is saying too many words to name. She imitates everything, and learns new words daily. She catches on to people's names really quickly, which is cool. She is starting to combine two words. She loves to sing... "Row, row, row your boat, Wheels on the Bus..." I sing, "Rock a Bye Baby" to her every night, and she will randomly go get in the rocking chair herself and start singing it. She also loves to do "Ring around the rosey," and her favorite part is saying, "we all fall DOWN," and throwing herself down on the floor at the end. She has the best gut laugh! The word she says most often is, "Banks" (with the cutest little frontal lisp, "Bankth"). She wakes up and it's the first thing she says. When I pick her up from her daycare class, she knows we are going to his class next, and she says, "Banks!,Bubba! Banks!Bubba!" over and over again until we get him. Last week when she had her check-up, we left without picking Banks up so I could take her to the doctor, and she about had a fit in the parking lot yelling his name because we were leaving school without him. It was SO amazingly precious. Her world is just not right without big brother there.
She still has her circle of people. although she is getting much better about adjusting and letting new people in. She did better at her 18 month check-up, and only screamed at Dr.Maddox and nurse Whitney when they touched her. They finally got to see her smile for the first time, since she has always screamed in their face the whole time they were in the room until now.
Her favorite toy is BANKS. She does love books and coloring, but nothing beats playing with Banks in her eyes. She is constantly stealing whatever toys Banks is playing with and it tears him up, but I constantly tell him that she doesn't want his toy, she just wants him to chase her because she loves getting his attention. Nothing makes her laugh harder than running around with, wrestling with, or playing with Banks in any way. Even when she steals his toys, he is still so gentle and sweet with her. No wonder she loves him so much!
I have let her watch Elmo a could of times on my phone, so now everytime she sees my phone, she points to it and screams, "ELMO!" We also have a dancing Elmo that she loves. She is addicted to her paci's, and I swear she has a hidden stash. We are trying to cut her back to only nightime and naptime, but she always ends up finding one. She comes walking into the room with it so proudly hanging sideways out of her mouth, grinning, saying, "Papis!" It really is cute. Not sure how we're going to get rid of those "papis" but we'll cross that bridge at some point. Just not yet :-)
Georgia loves to climb things. I've heard she gets that from her Daddy, who was apparently a climber too. She has heard us say, "Georgia, SIT DOWN!" so many times that anytime she sees me, Banks, or Patrick climbing something (climbing a ladder to hang a picture on the wall, for example) she yells, "Banks/Dada/Mama, SIT DOWN!"
As I have said since she was born, Georgia was born Georgia and I pray she stays that way. We are so blessed to have this precious angel in our lives. She truly brightens every day and keeps us all smiling and laughing with that special twinkle she has in her eye.

Georgia's First Birthday Party
We got to host Georgia's first birthday party at our new house. It was nice to finally fill our home with family and friends, and to celebrate our baby girl. The theme was "Sweet as a Peach," since a lot of people call her "peaches."
Our baby girl is ONE
As I wrote on Instagram... She has made up for every moment she spent screaming as a "colicky" newborn by being the most happy, loving, cuddly baby girl. Everything I thought I knew about having a baby, she has made me re-evaluate by already being so special and unique. I have a feeling Georgia will frequently have me re-evaluating things to keep up with her. It's clear that she knows how loved she is, but she gives it back to us tenfold. You have to work hard to get into Georgia's "circle," but you know you've made it when your skin is bruised from being pinched. She has truly completed our family like we never could have imagined, and has melted all of our hearts with those big, beautiful blue eyes.
It's hard to fully describe Georgia in words. It's like we have known exactly who she is since the day she was born. She was born Georgia, and will always be Georgia. She has literally had the same look in her eyes from day one, and it's like she has always known exactly what's going on around her. She stares down new people and studies everything going on around her. She wants to be close to the people she knows (those in her "circle") until she's figured everything out for herself. We know better than to even try to make her go to a new person or explore a new place until she has fully evaluated the situation and decides she is ready. She is so pretty (and I'm not at all biased) that when we are in public, people are constantly wanting to talk to her and/or touch her. It doesn't take long for them to determine that's not a good idea, based on the (I'm going to cut you if you touch me) "look" she gives them. It really does keep me laughing.
She loves to imitate everything me, Patrick, and Banks do, and she really catches onto things quickly. She decided to really start walking on the day of her first birthday, although she had been taking steps for about a month before then. She started pretty much running within a couple of days after she started walking, mostly to keep up with Banks. She is saying about 5-8 words ("Mama, Dada, Duh for duck, Uh-Oh, Woof for dog, Buh for Banks), and she is signing for "more" and "all done" at meals. She loves putting things in and out of containers and boxes, and putting lids on and off of things. One of her favorite things to do is roll around with Banks on the bed, couch, or even the floor, and "wrestle." Just when we think he's being too rough, she lets out the biggest laugh and goes back for more. She is so lucky to have him as her big brother, and she seems to be fully aware of how special he is.
I finally weaned her from breastfeeding the week after she turned one, and she has adjusted to the bottle well. One big plus to weaning is that Patrick has gotten to enjoy rocking her to sleep while playing her special music, just like he did with Banks when he was Georgia's age. I love watching their father-daughter bond grow.
She is doing great with sleeping. She wakes up a few times a week during the night, but usually we just have to go put her paci back in her mouth and pat her for a few minutes and she goes back to sleep. She is still early to bed and early to rise, but we have adjusted to her schedule!
She continues to eat EVERYTHING we put in front of her. To be so tiny, it's amazing that she seriously eats about double what Banks eats at every meal. We have yet to figure out where she puts it all!
Height: 2' 4.25" (16%)
Weight: 18 lbs, 12 oz (32%)
Head Circumference: 43.5cm (14%)
She had a great 1 year physical, and we know for sure that her lungs are strong since I'm pretty sure the whole building knew when she got her shots. Let's just say Dr.Maddox and his nurse Whitney are definitely not in her "circle" as of now!
Georgia is constantly nodding/shaking her head for yes/no, and she does it so exaggerated. It is adorable. During her first birthday party, she nodded her head "yes" the entire time she was eating her smash cake. It was like she needed to let everyone know the cake was delicious, and she approved. Such a funny girl!
So that's it... my best effort at giving the full run-down of Miss Georgia. To know her is to love her, and we never even knew we could love so much.
