Bye-bye Aden and Anais
Up until this point, we've been a big fan of swaddling Banks in the Aden and Anais blankets. They are amazing blankets, especially when we came home from the hospital and he was too small for the Miracle wrap. Unfortunately, Banks' legs and arms have gotten so busy that he is able to work his way out of the Aden and Anais swaddle. This is how I found him Sunday morning...
Banks Updates
I can't get enough of this baby! At 11 weeks old today, here are some updates. He loves lights, Mommy and Daddy's voices and/or faces, practicing his "standing," bath time, getting attention and being talked to, being held, and most of all... MILK! He isn't a fan of being left alone, when anyone sneezes, his new reflux meds, or tummy time for long periods. He doesn't nap much during the day, but typically only wakes up once in the night. He is usually a very happy baby now that we're treating his reflux. We've even heard a few giggles, which is the cutest! He has also discovered his hands this week, and waves them around a lot.

Steeldrivers Date Night
Patrick and I enjoy listening to a group called the Steeldrivers. When we saw they were playing in Asheville this past Friday night, we decided last-minute to go see them. We dropped Banks off with my mom in Greenville since my parents only live an hour from Asheville. Patrick tried to talk me into spending the night away, but I just wasn't quite ready yet. Maybe it had something to do with dropping him off at daycare for the first time today. We has a great time in Asheville, getting dinner and local draght beers, and then going to the show at a cute venue called Isis.
Two months!
Banks had his 2 month check-up on 2/24. Dr.Maddox was thrilled about the good news from his kidney testing. Banks was not so thrilled to get his shots. Patrick held him while he got his shots since I had to hold him last week while he got an IV for the kidney testing. He ran a low grade fever and was fussy the rest of the day, but nothing some Tylenol and cuddles couldn't fix. We did find out that our boy is "solid," as Patrick likes to put it. Stats:
Length: 22 and 1/4 inches, 11%
Weight: 12lbs, 34%
Head: 40.4cm, 80%
The only concern Dr.Maddox has is with the back of Banks' head being a little flat. Given that Banks has had tummy time since coming home from the hospital and babies are supposed to sleep on their backs all night, I don't see how this could have been prevented. But we have a referral to a PT and we will see what they have to say!
