Weekend Beach Trip

Patrick heads to the Black River for Flotilla on the last weekend of July every year. My parents have never seen Banks (or Georgia) on the beach and they had really been wanted to go with us, so we decided to get away for a quick weekend while Patrick was at Flotilla. We went to Myrtle Beach, which is where we always went when Casey and I were kids, and got a condo right on the beach. The condo had two balconies that you could see the ocean from, which was great because watching the people and ocean from the balcony was Georgia's favorite part. Every time we put her down, she crawled straight to the sliding doors to look out. She enjoyed "hollering" at the people below when they would walk by. She loved it! Banks' favorite part was going to the "beach store" (aka Eagles). My parents let him and Georgia pick out one toy a piece as a souvenir from our trip. Banks chose a toy Blue Angels jet, and Georgia picked a stuffed purple turtle. We also walked and got ice cream one night, which both Banks and Georgia loved (and Mommy too). With everything being so hectic during our move right now, it was great to leave it behind and have a relaxing weekend at the beach with family.
