I didn't write this prayer, I got it off of Instagram, but it really touched me. OH how I love my precious boy, and pray these things for him!
Dear Lord,
Your gifts are many,
I am thankful for every one.
One of the greatest gifts you've given
Is the gift of my dear son.
Thank you for his life, dear Lord,
Watch over him each day.
May he be safe and free of harm
As he goes about each day.
Bless him through life's trials.
Help him choose right from wrong.
An example be, for all to see,
Standing tall, and proud, and strong.
Amen.

2 Months Old
Georgia turned two months old last week! These are her stats:
Weight: 10lbs, 8oz; 32%
Length: 22.5 inches; 46%
Head circumference: 14.9 inches; 32%
At her two month check-up, Dr.Maddox said she is perfect. That is music to my ears! She is doing great with her sleeping, and better with her tummy issues. I'm still avoiding as much dairy as possible, and that seems to help, along with her Ranitidine for her reflux. She still spits up a lot, but it doesn't seem as painful. She is still sleeping from about 11-6 at night, which is fantastic. She doesn't take more than about 20-30 minute naps during the day. She still loves being in the Baby Bijorn, and takes her best naps strapped on to her Momma. Really, she does everything best when she is with her Momma. Georgia girl is quite the clinger, but I don't mind one bit! She continues to reject the bottle. We've tried 8 different brands now, and I've got the 9th brand coming in the mail as we speak. I have started taking her to daycare for about 1-2 hours at a time for the last two weeks, mostly to have them help me try to get her to take a bottle. They have had a little luck, but she still hasn't taken more than 2 oz over the course of 2 hours, and boy does she get MAD when they are giving her the bottle. I'm hoping and praying that brand #9 does the trick. I only have two weeks left of maternity leave!
Georgia is really smiling, making eye contact, following us around the room, and starting to find her hands. She is super strong with head control and tummy time, and every time we try to lay her on our chest or lap, she seems to want to straighten those little legs and stand up. She is so aware (maybe even nosey, haha), and loves when we talk to her. She definitely craves human interaction, and her big brother gives her plenty of that. Banks is still doing great with her, and uses the sweetest little voice when he's talking to her. He brings her blankets and tells me to "feed her" when she is crying. He gives her lots of kisses, and loves to "hold her hand." My heart explodes every time he interacts with her. My two little loves!!

Fall and Halloween Fun
Holidays are so much fun with Banks now that he "gets it." He was a wolf for Halloween, and talked about it for weeks. We kept trying to get him to howl, but he continued to tell us that wolves "don't howl," but rather they, "huff and pull and blow your house down." So, he proceeded to blow at everyone instead of howl while he trick or treated. We took him to Boulevard Baptist's fall festival, and then to trunk or treat at Concord Church to trick or treat. He also got to visit Denver Downs, and he LOVED sitting on all of the tractors. We decided to paint pumpkins this year instead of carving them, and he had a blast doing that. He didn't stop until almost every inch of the pumpkin was covered. He is very thorough! He loved hanging out with his buddy Mattox at the fall events.

Six Weeks Old
I know everyone says it, but time FLIES with a second child. I truly can't believe we've had Georgia for six whole weeks. Georgia has turned a corner over the past week. She has seemed more comfortable (less fussiness), and has slept better during the night. Actually, over the past weekend, she slept 6-8 hours a night for 3 nights in a row. This Momma was SO thankful for that! I'm not sure if she is feeling better because I cut dairy out of my diet, because of the reflux medicine, or simply because her little system is maturing and digesting the milk better. Who knows, but we are going to keep doing what we're doing! She is still not taking many naps during the day (if any at all), which makes it very difficult to get anything done, but I'm really trying to just not worry about the things that aren't getting done and enjoy my time with her. Sometimes that's much easier said than done, especially with Banks in the picture too! The one sure fire way to get her to sleep is to put her in the Baby Bijorn. She loves being in there and will sleep for hours. She's also still refusing to take a bottle. I've now tried 4 different kinds of bottles with her (Medela, Avent, Tommee Tippee, and Munchkin Latch), and she refuses them all. This needs to change very soon, because we are getting close to daycare time, not to mention I could use more than an hour to an hour and half at a time that I can leave her to run a few errands. She is starting to interact a lot, making eye contact, and smiling and "Gaa'ing" at us when we talk to her and kiss her. Banks is still loving his sister so sweetly, and he now tells her he loves her all the time. It makes my heart explode.
With Georgia strapped in to the Baby Bijorn, we were able to go to Banks' fall festival at school on Thursday night, to Clemson to see the Homecoming floats on Friday evening, and to Fall for Greenville on Sunday evening to see Anderson East play. Banks had a blast at all 3 events, and it was so nice to get out of the house to enjoy this AMAZING fall weather.

Banks' Fall School Pictures
Since we just had the newborn pictures taken, I didn't order any, but Banks was the cutest little guy in his school pictures!
Georgia's One Month Old
We survived the first month! Georgia has been very different from Banks, and has brought about a lot of new love, and also challenges. I took her back to Dr.Maddox last Monday, because her tummy issues had gotten to a point that she just couldn't seem to get comfortable. She was having a lot of projectile spit up, and extreme fussiness during the spitting up episodes. She was also have fussy nursing sessions, pulling away and crying while eating. This screamed reflux to me. In addition to her tummy issues, she was also having a watery eye, so I figured it was time to take her in. At her appointment, she weighed 8lbs, 12oz, which again impressed Dr.Maddox. Even with her tummy, she's not having any trouble gaining weight. We left the appointment with eye drops, a cauterized belly button, and some reflux meds. Overall, Dr.Maddox still said she looks very healthy and is doing great.
She is still waking up about every 2.5-3 hours during the night for feedings. A couple of nights, she has made it for a 3.5-4 hour stretch, but that has been few and far between. She doesn't really sleep much at all during the day. We are trying to get some more consistent naps in, but she is a very light sleeper and doesn't usually make it more than about 30 minutes for her naps. Her favorite thing to do, and the way she naps the best, is to be strapped into the Baby Bijorn.
We have gotten a couple of good smiles out of her over the last few days, and she is definitely becoming more alert. She seems to love it when Banks gets in her face, which he also loves to do. He can usually calm down her crying better than me and Patrick, at least briefly. Banks continues to be a great big brother. This morning, he covered up her legs with a blanket because she had kicked her feet out. While he is still being very sweet towards her, he is seeming to act out and have some defiance towards me and Patrick over the last couple of weeks. I let him decide on Friday whether he wanted to stay home or go spend the night with Yiayia, and he picked Yiayia and Papou. He had a good night with them, and Patrick and I enjoyed having a morning to sleep in (Georgia sleeps best in the morning from about 6-9 usually).
