Six Weeks Old

I know everyone says it, but time FLIES with a second child. I truly can't believe we've had Georgia for six whole weeks. Georgia has turned a corner over the past week. She has seemed more comfortable (less fussiness), and has slept better during the night. Actually, over the past weekend, she slept 6-8 hours a night for 3 nights in a row. This Momma was SO thankful for that! I'm not sure if she is feeling better because I cut dairy out of my diet, because of the reflux medicine, or simply because her little system is maturing and digesting the milk better. Who knows, but we are going to keep doing what we're doing! She is still not taking many naps during the day (if any at all), which makes it very difficult to get anything done, but I'm really trying to just not worry about the things that aren't getting done and enjoy my time with her. Sometimes that's much easier said than done, especially with Banks in the picture too! The one sure fire way to get her to sleep is to put her in the Baby Bijorn. She loves being in there and will sleep for hours. She's also still refusing to take a bottle. I've now tried 4 different kinds of bottles with her (Medela, Avent, Tommee Tippee, and Munchkin Latch), and she refuses them all. This needs to change very soon, because we are getting close to daycare time, not to mention I could use more than an hour to an hour and half at a time that I can leave her to run a few errands. She is starting to interact a lot, making eye contact, and smiling and "Gaa'ing" at us when we talk to her and kiss her. Banks is still loving his sister so sweetly, and he now tells her he loves her all the time. It makes my heart explode.

With Georgia strapped in to the Baby Bijorn, we were able to go to Banks' fall festival at school on Thursday night, to Clemson to see the Homecoming floats on Friday evening, and to Fall for Greenville on Sunday evening to see Anderson East play. Banks had a blast at all 3 events, and it was so nice to get out of the house to enjoy this AMAZING fall weather.
